About

The story

Fecovita — the Federación de Cooperativas Vitivinícolas Argentinas — is the largest wine cooperative federation in South America and one of the most powerful wine organisations on the continent. Founded in 1954 and anchored in the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza, it unites 28 cooperatives representing over 5,000 winegrowing families across more than 16,000 hectares of vines. With annual production exceeding 250 million litres, Fecovita commands an extraordinary scale yet maintains genuine quality ambitions, producing wines under brands including Toro Viejo, Don Valentín Lacrado, El Estribillo and Viña Amalia across every style, price point and format. Malbec is the undisputed star — high-altitude expressions from Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo deliver the grape's full spectrum from vibrant and fruit-forward to deeply structured reserve — but the range extends from Torrontés-led whites to fine sparkling wines and aged aguardiente. A cornerstone of Argentine wine's global footprint.
