Quintas de Caíz

Perched above the river Tâmega in the Amarante sub-region of Vinho Verde, Quintas de Caíz is a third-generation family estate owned by Agostinho Freitas, with 25 hectares of granitic sandy loam vineyards at high elevation. Under winemaker António Sousa, the Encostas de Caíz range produces precise single-variety whites — Alvarinho, Avesso, and a premium Loureiro Alvarinho blend — alongside the acclaimed Amarantinho, a traditional-variety blend that has become one of the Amarante sub-region's benchmark expressions. The Divertido frisante and Sangria range add a lighter, accessible touch. Distributed internationally through Caves do Monte.
